Abundant Life Community Church was birthed in 2011 in Orwell, VT.  In 2021 after the building they were meeting in was sold, the Church searched  extensively for a new gathering place.  God directed the Church to convert a 1950's dairy barn into a place for His people to gather.  His leading in this endeavor came with a promise, for He said that in this place He would meet those gathered.  And so since 2023, His presence has brought healing and wholeness to the lost, the hurting and the broken as they gather together on Sunday mornings to have an encounter with Him.  We believe that as we seek Him, with simplicity of hearts and humility of spirit, He is leading us forward.  We simply love Jesus, love one another and love those He brings into our lives.  Our utmost desire is  to know Him and to make Him known!

what we believe serves as the foundation of our faith

our beliefs

The Bible – We believe the Bible is God’s inspired message to humanity. It guides our beliefs and actions, and is trustworthy in all it teaches about life, faith, and how we relate to God.

God – We believe in one true and living God, who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ – We believe in Jesus Christ, who has always existed, was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and physically raised from the dead. Through His death on the cross, He took upon Himself our sins, illnesses, and struggles, offering us forgiveness and salvation by faith.

Human Nature – We believe God created humans in His image, with a pure and innocent nature. But through disobedience, humanity became separated from God. As a result, everyone is born with a natural tendency to do wrong, in need of God’s redemption.

Salvation through Jesus – We believe Jesus died as a substitute for us, taking our sins upon Himself so we wouldn’t have to. He rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and continually intercedes for those who trust Him. Anyone who believes in Jesus is forgiven, justified by God’s grace, and given eternal life.

The Church – We believe the church is a community of committed believers, established by God to provide fellowship, worship, teaching, service, and outreach to others.

Living a Spirit-Filled Life – We believe in living a life guided by the Holy Spirit: turning away from sin, striving to live in love and integrity, and seeking holiness as an expression of our faith. We believe Holy Spirit gives diverse gifts to all believers for the purpose of equipping and building up the Church.

Baptism – We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ. Baptism is a meaningful step that follows a personal commitment to Him.

Jesus’ Return – We believe that Jesus Christ will personally return to the earth to establish His Kingdom in fullness.
